This tour is named after the tribe of Taulanti, who lived in the area of today’s central Albania, and offers an intensive short visit to two interesting sites not far from the Capital.
The cities of Kruja, Tirana and Durres will be visited, all offering exquisite tastes of the regional cuisine.
Optimal number of participants is 10-15: upon request, we offer tours for one person, a couple or a family.
These tours and excursions offer unique and economic opportunities to support and sustain the small local businesses that are working to preserve and protect the Albanian natural treasures by sharing them with caring, respectful visitors.
8:00: The morning begins with a delicious breakfast and a visit to the Pëllumbas village. Around 2 km of hiking gets one to the cave; it’s very nice to splash in the pristine pools created by the river Erzen. Lunch will be cooked by a village family and brought by horse or mule. More hiking through the canyon offers several alternative paths.
17:00: A visit to the nearby Petrela Castle is an opportunity to enjoy a special coffee overlooking an impressive panorama.
19:00: Dinner at the Food Boutique is a chance to sample a wide variety of the local cuisine – ALL delectable!
