The village of Valbona is located at the end of the valley, near the source of the river with the same name. Some 30 houses of the typical architecture, various guesthouses and a few little hotels recently built of stone and wood complete the charming venue.

25km from the small city of Bajram Curri, Valbona is at the end of the 22km mountain- road that passes through the canyons of Shoshan and Klysira and leaves ones breathless from the beauty.

The valley is 1,000m above sea level and boasts peaks of over 2,000m; “ the gem of the Albanian Alps “ is a perfectly apt name for the most memorable panorama.
